How does a proposal photoshoot work?

Planning
Before your trip, we discuss your idea, timing and the best scenario for your proposal. I help you choose the right moment and location based on season, light and balloon activity.
Location & timing
Most proposals happen at sunrise, when Cappadocia looks especially magical. Valleys, viewpoints and balloon backdrops are selected individually for each couple.
The surprise moment
I stay unnoticed, pretending to be a regular photographer or tourist. Your partner believes it’s just a walk or a casual photoshoot — the surprise stays real.
The proposal
You propose. I capture every emotion: the reaction, the tears, the laughter, the “Yes”.
Mini photoshoot after
After the proposal, we continue with a short romantic photoshoot to celebrate the moment in a relaxed atmosphere.

Real proposal stories

Andrew & Melody — Winter proposal in Cappadocia
This proposal didn’t go according to plan — and that’s what made it unforgettable.
On that morning, the hot air balloons didn’t fly as expected. Overnight, Cappadocia was covered in snow, completely transforming the landscape. Instead of sunrise viewpoints, we headed into the snowy Rose Valley, where soft pink tones of the rocks contrasted beautifully with fresh white snow.
The photoshoot felt calm and intimate, almost like a quiet winter walk. Toward the end of the session, inside an ancient cave church carved into the rock, Andrew stopped — and completely unexpectedly proposed to Melody.
She wasn’t prepared for it at all. Tears, disbelief, and pure happiness filled the moment. The surprise was real, emotional, and deeply personal. The quiet space of the cave church made everything feel even more powerful, as if time had slowed down just for them.
Sometimes the most meaningful proposals happen when plans change — and the moment finds you instead.

Giacomo & Emanuela — Sunset picnic proposal
Everything was carefully planned — except for one thing.
Emanuela had absolutely no idea a proposal was waiting for her.
She thought it would be a simple photoshoot at sunset. Wanting something special, she decided at the last moment to add a flowing dress and even a retro convertible, preparing for beautiful portraits — not realizing she was getting ready for one of the biggest moments of her life.
As the sun began to set over the valley, the photoshoot slowly turned into a picnic set up just for them. And then Giacomo surprised her with the question she never expected. Her reaction was priceless — laughing, overwhelmed, and repeatedly asking, “Are you sure? Are you really doing this? Is this real?”
It was joyful, spontaneous and full of warmth — a perfect reminder that sometimes the best proposals are the ones wrapped in laughter and pure surprise.

Petr & Angelina — Sunset proposal in Red Valley
This proposal took place during a sunset photoshoot in Red Valley — one of the most beautiful and intimate locations in Cappadocia, and truly a perfect place to ask an important question.
The session began as a relaxed evening walk, with warm light, soft colors and a calm atmosphere. Angelina believed it was simply a romantic photoshoot. What she didn’t know was that Petr had planned something much more meaningful.
Before the session, Petr asked me to bring a bouquet of red roses and keep it hidden in the car. At the right moment, I suggested Angelina take a few portraits on her own. While I was photographing her, Petr quietly walked back to the car and returned with the bouquet and the ring.
When he appeared behind her, the surprise was complete. She said yes — without hesitation. The sunset, the red roses and the vast landscape of Red Valley turned the moment into a timeless memory, filled with warmth, love and quiet happiness.
