Carpet Galleries
in Cappadocia
A guide to textures, light and oriental interiors.
Carpet galleries are some of the most iconic indoor locations in Cappadocia — but each one feels completely different. Some are dark and cinematic, others feel bright, colorful and airy.
I help choose locations based on light, atmosphere, styling and the overall mood you want your photos to have.

Sultan Carpets
A layered world of vintage Anatolian textiles, mosaic lamps and volcanic stone textures hidden inside Cappadocia. Unlike rooftop carpet terraces, Sultan Carpet feels immersive and intimate — almost like stepping inside a living textile installation.
One of its most unique features is the open upper level, allowing dramatic overhead compositions that reveal the full geometry of the space. The gallery works beautifully for cinematic portraits, bridal sessions and editorial-style photography, especially when combined with natural styling and flowing fabrics.
Famous for overhead compositions • rich oriental interiors • cinematic atmosphere • ideal for bridal, editorial & couple sessions • soft natural light throughout the space
Ikman Gallery
A sunlit courtyard hidden inside the stone textures of Cappadocia. Ikman Gallery feels brighter, softer and more relaxed — filled with colorful woven details, vintage pottery and natural daylight pouring through the open space above.
Unlike darker carpet galleries, Ikman has a more playful and airy atmosphere that works beautifully for romantic portraits, solo travelers, fashion-inspired sessions and relaxed daytime photography.
The space unfolds through multiple levels, textile-covered stairways and authentic fairy chimney architecture — making the gallery feel naturally connected to the landscape of Cappadocia itself.
Perfect for editorial portraits • solo & couple sessions • colorful storytelling imagery • relaxed daytime photography • layered texture-focused compositions
Good to Know
The carpet galleries featured here are carefully selected for photography — not every carpet shop in Cappadocia is suitable for photo sessions.
Both locations require advance reservation and are privately booked for the duration of the shoot, meaning the space is closed to other visitors and photographers during your session.
Rental fees and booking conditions vary depending on the gallery and shooting duration.
Light changes beautifully throughout the day inside the galleries. The most atmospheric moments usually happen in the morning or later in the afternoon, when softer directional light moves naturally through the space.

Choosing the right location matters
Every carpet gallery in Cappadocia has its own light, atmosphere and visual character.
I help choose locations for couples, solo travelers, families and editorial sessions — based on styling, mood and the story you want your photos to tell.
